Cystic Fibrosis

www.cysticfibrosis.org.au

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the most common life threatening, recessive genetic condition affecting Australian children. There is no cure but with today’s improved treatment most people with CF are able to lead reasonably normal and productive lives. One of the main objectives of the CFA Research Trust is to fund this work. If you'd like to know more and be inspired by the achievements of young people who live with CF go to www.cysticfibrosis.org.au

World Youth International

www.worldyouth.org.au

I’m proud to be a sponsor of a child in Nepal for this, non-religious & non-political volunteer organisation. World Youth International Australia (WYI) is an international development organisation founded in 1988 that impacts the lives of thousands of people in Australia and overseas each year. As well as child sponsorship, WYI offers people over the age of 18 the opportunity to volunteer overseas in a meaningful way in countries including Kenya, Uganda, Nepal, Cambodia, Laos and Peru! WYI is a signatory to the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) code, an approved AusAID organisation and registered with The Department of Education.

  CAVEAT EMPTOR

Nearly every day in the media a "victim" is telling their story about being deceived out of their dollars by the unscrupulous.
They've invested in what, in hindsight, are obvious scams from dodgy franchises, to non - existent gold mines, unworkable leases and - saints preserve us - accessing lost millions in foreign bank accounts.
The truth is that whilst there are some genuine cons (excuse the oxymoron), most mistakes are avoidable if the buyer asks just a few more pertinent questions and insists on some by tangible, validated evidence.
The message is that we need to develop a culture of personal research and accountability in our business dealings and not delegate by abdication to those who present themselves as experts.
Like Dorothy in the Wizard of OZ, we must be curious enough to do our own research and bold enough to pull back the curtain and discover if there is substance behind the theatre.
